This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for Seedream Studio ("the Service"). It applies to subscriptions and one-time credit packs purchased through the Service. All payments are processed by Stripe.

1. Free Credits

New verified accounts receive 75 free credits. Free credits carry no charge, so there is nothing to refund. No credit card is required to sign up or to use your free credits.

2. Subscriptions

You can cancel a monthly or yearly subscription at any time from the Stripe customer portal, reachable from your account settings. When you cancel:

• Your subscription stops renewing, so you are not billed again.
• You keep access and any remaining subscription credits until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• We do not provide prorated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period.

If you were charged after a failed or duplicate cancellation, or you believe a renewal was billed in error, contact us within 14 days and we will investigate and correct any mistaken charge.

3. One-Time Credit Packs

Credits are digital goods delivered to your account immediately on purchase.

• A credit pack is refundable within 14 days of purchase only if none of the credits from that pack have been used.
• Once any credit from a pack has been used, that pack is non-refundable.
• Purchased credits never expire and are non-transferable.

4. Failed Generations

If a generation fails due to a system error on our side, the credits spent on that generation are automatically returned to your account. You do not need to request this, and it is separate from the refund windows described above.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund for an eligible, fully unused credit pack, email us at [email protected] or use our contact page within the 14-day window. Please include the email on your account and the approximate date of purchase. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days.

6. EU / UK Consumers

Where a statutory right of withdrawal for digital content applies, that right ends once delivery of the digital content begins with your consent. Because credits are delivered immediately on purchase, buying a credit pack means you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that the statutory 14-day withdrawal right no longer applies once you begin using the credits. This does not affect the voluntary 14-day refund for fully unused packs described above, and it does not limit any mandatory rights you have under local law.

7. Chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, please contact us first — we can usually resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Filing a chargeback for credits that have been used may result in suspension of your account pending review.
